24 Hours in Hyderabad: Escape, Biryani, Boats, & Brews

Nestled in history since 1591, Hyderabad invites you on a journey through the grandeur of the Qutb Shahi dynasty and the splendor of the Nizams. From the majestic Charminar and the enchanting Qutb Shahi Tombs to the regal Chowmohallah Palace and the timeless Golconda Fort, each monument narrates tales of a bygone era. However, these monuments are not the only interesting activities this famous Nizami city has to offer. Hyderabad is one of those rare cities in India that seamlessly blends ancient tales with a vibrant present. In the recent years, the city has seen a lot of developement and there are numerous modern fun activities which I will be sharing with you today. Explore this article to map out a delightful 24-hour adventure in Hyderabad, guaranteeing an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Start your day with Lock N Escape Mystery Escape Room Games at Banjara Hills

Lock N Escape in Hyderabad offers an immersive experience in mystery escape room games. Whether you’re a seasoned escape room enthusiast or a first-timer, the place promises an exciting and thrilling adventure for all ages. With options for 2 to 8 players, it guarantees an unforgettable adventure for all mystery enthusiasts.

Having experienced the thrill of Lock N Escape’s Games in Hyderabad, I can attest to the excitement it offers. I highly recommend checking out this super fun activity with your group. Opting for the Poltergeist room, my friends and I were captivated by engaging puzzles and mind-bending challenges. The special effects added a fantastic touch, elevating the overall experience of the game. Special mention to our Game Master who not only kept the energy high but also injected humor into the game to ensure we had a great time.

What set Lock N Escape apart for me was the generous 80-minute timeframe they provided to solve the puzzle, allowing for a more immersive and satisfying experience. Additionally, after successfully navigating through the challenges, we were extremely delighted to receive a well-deserved medal, adding a victorious touch to our adventure. Considering the top-notch entertainment, the pricing, ranging from Rs 800 to Rs 1100 per person, felt like a worthy investment.

Grab some amazing Hyderabadi Biryani at Paradise Biryani NTR Marg

Navigating Hyderabad’s exquisite culinary scene landscape, you might be wondering if I’ve skipped a breakfast gem. Fear not, for in this city, it is better to twist our regular morning ritual – hold off on breakfast and dive into a Biryani brunch at Paradise Biryani on Imax/NTR Marg. This culinary hotspot is famed for its aromatic Hyderabadi Biryani, offering a symphony of rich flavors and spiced perfection. From the iconic Chicken Biryani to the flavorful Veg Biryani, Paradise takes you on a gastronomic journey.

Now, a little advice learned from my own experience – Paradise Biryani at Masab Tank might tempt you, but it’s a take-out haven with no seating. I made the mistake, so you don’t have to. Stick to Paradise Imax/NTR Marg for the full Biryani experience with comfy seating, where you can revel in the culinary celebration of Hyderabad. Don’t miss the chance to indulge in their Spicy Chicken Biryani; it’s a flavor explosion that’s absolutely to die for.

Next, venture to Lumbini Park for an exhilarating Speed Boat Ride

Nestled in the heart of Hyderabad, Lumbini Park offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city with its serene surroundings and captivating attractions. I recommend getting there on foot if possible as it’ll let you enjoy the scenic views as well as get some exercise in for the day.

The speed boat is a must-try activity there, offering an exciting ride along the picturesque Hussain Sagar lake. The boatman adds some fun twists to the ride, making it super exciting. During one of his unexpected manuevers, I really thought I was going to fall into the lake. However, rest assured the ride is perfectly safe with the life jackets provided.

The ride is priced at 400 rupees for up to 4 people; do note that the price is same for lesser number of people as well. The whole ride lasted about 5 minutes, but our guide extended it for an extra 100 rupees, giving us a bit more time to enjoy. It’s best to go in the evening, catch the sunset, and experience the park’s serene beauty with the iconic Buddha statue.

End your day with golf and some brews at OneGolf Brewery

OneGolf Brewery in Hyderabad is a top notch GOLF-TAINMENT destination, because you get to experience golf and entertainment like no other place in Hyderabad. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t swung a club before, there are no rules, judges or pros here. So swing it for the sheer fun of the game!

You can swing away on their top-notch golf courses, have a blast with friends, and cap off the day with their signature craft beers. For 2500 Rupees your group can play for 1 hour, you get a total of 120 balls. Once those 120 balls are finished the game ends even if you have some time left. First timers don’t need to worry as at the beginning of the game, the One Golf trainer gives you a comprehensive golfing tutorial.

I had a great time here and I am sure you will too. So grab a drink, a mate, a bay and a golf club – it’s going to be super fun.

As my Hyderabad adventure comes to a close, I’m filled with memories of flavorful Biryani, thrilling boat rides at Lumbini Park, and laid-back golf rounds at OneGolf Brewery. Hyderabad, with its unique blend of history and modern charm, has etched its place in my travel story. From iconic landmarks to hidden gems, this city promises an unforgettable journey. I hope you have as fantastic a time in Hyderabad as I did, following along with this article. Until next time, Hyderabad!
